Grayscale in Opacity Express?

Postby funkytaco on Sat Mar 06, 2010 2:08 pm

How do I convert an image to grayscale (remove all color)?

Only thing I see in the documentation is this:
One thing to remember if you are using your image for a button or an image in a status menu is the NSImage template property. By setting an image to be a template (using the [image setTemplate:YES] method), you tell the system to do smart image processing of the image to make it look great. This works best with grayscale images.

Thanks,

Hi Luis. The usual way to create grayscale images in Opacity Express is to just use gray colors in your shapes. If you have an existing image that you want to make grayscale, you can try using the image as a mask for a solid colored layer, and then setting the layer's mask type to White or Black. The final option is to use some of the more powerful Color Adjustment and Color Effect filters that are only available in the full version of Opacity. I hope this helps!
